Tennis Courts:
Thompson Park provides three asphalt, fenced in tennis courts and one backboard area. Sign in sheets for court time can be found at the tennis bulletin board area located near the paved road above the tennis courts. The courts are most easily accessible by entering the park at the main gate and parking where the inside parking lot ends near the courts. When playing after park hours, please park in the outside parking lot and walk in.
Basketball Court:
One basketball court is available for use on a first come first serve basis. Basketballs are not provided. The court is located near the lower entrance of the park, directly below the swimming pool area, and above the softball field. Parking is available at the court site.
Football Field:
The football field is located level with the #4 Pavilion and directly below Pavilion #3. Currently there are no teams or organizations scheduled to use the field on a regular basis. The field is available and open to the public during park hours. If you would like to reserve the field call the park superintendent.
Softball Field:
The softball field is located at the lowest section of the park, below the basketball court and the swimming pool. You may walk to it from these parking areas or you can also access it by entering across the street from the Dixonville Fire Department. To locate this entrance, turn left onto the first dirt road past the lower entrance to the park from Anderson Boulevard. To reserve the field or for questions about park leagues call the park superintendent.
Old Softball Field:
The old softball field, located below the amphitheater and above #3 Pavilion, is the location for bonfires during the monthly Full Moon Hikes. Disc Golf enthusiast use it to get their frisbee to the #18 basket. Animal lovers play with their pets on this field. If you would like to use this field for any other purpose please contact the park superintendent.
