Nashville Songwriters Tour Comes to East Liverpool
Free Public Performance Slated for Saturday, August 30th

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (August 5, 2008) – The Nashville Songwriters Tour will perform a free concert at Thompson Park Amphitheater on Saturday, August 30th at 6:00 p.m. The show is open to the public and suitable for all ages.

The Nashville Songwriters Tour features four accomplished singer-songwriters—James Casto, Sabrina, Joe West and JP Williams—in an “in the round” configuration, playing original acoustic music from a variety of genres and styles. The “in the round” format allows the performers to take turns showcasing their self-penned songs to offer an energetic, interesting night of music.

“We’re a collection of independent performing songwriters with ties to Nashville—Music City,” explains tour spokesperson James Casto. “We each have very individual styles, and our music reflects a range of influences— country, rock, folk, blues, gospel, pop. There’s truly something for everyone when we play together.”

Casto, Sabrina, West and Williams began touring collectively in 2004 in supplement to their individual music endeavors. Since that time, the four songwriters have traveled widely to perform in sold-out venues for thousands of fans and have released three compilation CDs.

“Though we each do our own thing, it’s fun to mix and mingle our musical talents during the course of our shows,” Casto explains. “We’re a group of friends brought together by our love of music, so the audience can tell we’re having fun playing together.”

The August 30th show at Thompson Park Amphitheater is the tour’s second annual performance for the East Liverpool community.
