J. Burchfield Cartwright Municipal Swimming Pool

The J. Burchfield Cartwright Swimming Pool, located in Thompson Park, will be open every day 1:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. throughout the 2006 summer season. The pool is monitored by certified lifeguards and is handicapped accessible. The larger than olympic size swimming pool has depths starting at 3ft. and going to 12ft. with two lower diving boards. There is a separate fenced in wading pool with water 6 inches deep that is available for the younger children who need to be adult supervised. For your convenience and enjoyment, the following amenities are provided or available:
- Concession stand
- Picnic tables and a shaded pavilion for eating
- Sand volleyball court
- Maintained lawn area with lounge chairs and benches
- Hot and cold showers with dressing areas
- Restrooms
- Season swimming passes per person or per family
- Group rates with prior authorization
- Dolphin Swim Team
- Red Cross swimming lessons
- Accommodations for birthday parties anytime during pool hours. Call to make your arrangements.
- Opportunities for private parties held after pool hours for a fee. Please make arrangements in advance
