Community Walking Program

Not yet scheduled for this year.

Decide your health is important and chose to be more active! Two thirds of cancer deaths are due to lifestyle choices. Lower your risk by being active as well as eating right and not smoking. Children and Adolescents should get 60 minutes per day of moderate to vigorous physical activity at least five days per week (ACS).

Being active and maintaining healthy weight are just two components to reduce one’s risk of cancer. Adults should be at least moderately active for 30 minutes or more, five or more days of the week; 45 minutes or more of moderate to vigorous activity on five or more days per week may further reduce the risk of breast or colon cancer (ACS).
